The Professional Membership Plugin for WordPress

Your Secure Stream

Many membership sites are put off having video streams in their membership areas because they are relatively simple to plagiarise, users can simply find where the video is hosted and can then share the link so others can watch it outside of your membership site.

Coding Futures, has the answer to this in the form of Secure Stream. This plugin ties together the power of your membership software and secure online content providers to allow you to offer secure video streaming (both progressive and true streaming via Cloudfront) that can only be played from your website without any video processing at all.

The process is very quick and easy, just follow these simple steps

  1. If you don’t already have one, install a video player plugin (JW Player and FlowPlayer are both currently supported and freely available from the WordPress website.)
  2. Alternatively use a custom player
  3. Upload your video to the appropriate web hosting company (currently Amazon S3 is supported).
  4. Install the Secure Stream Module for Your Members
  5. Choose from either pulling from a standard S3 bucket, or generate a cloudfront bucket with 4 clicks)
  6. Configure the Your Secure Stream plugin so it can locate your securely hosted video.
  7. Place the video player inside your membership plugins protected content.
